Ogii Nuur to Burghangai

After our too short of a stay at Tsagaan Nuur(White Lake), we had to begin our trek to Bulgan Aimag. Bulgan is where my Aav grew up. We found a small tourist camp beside Ogii Nuur and a windy and wet day. We unpacked the van again, put beds together again and got ready for supper and sleep.

Three beds across for our family of five.

Even in Mongolia, you can find Tennessee fans.

The next day was another long and bumpy drive on an earth road highway from Dasinchilin to Burghangai. It was a dirt track across the coutryside that at times was seven tracks wide and at times split into multiple tracks separated by a good distance. Holes, ruts, water, creeks all had to be maneuvered over or around. As inn every locale, we saw more than one little Prius zooming along like it was a truck.

Enkhii kindly allowed brother to invade his space.

Our Queen got rest when she could.

We found this monster on one of our pit stops.

                                          Welcome to Burghangai!

Our relatives' camp below.

Can you spot my picking partner through the birch trees?

A creek ran close to the camp

Our biggest ger of the trip but no beds. We made a megabed and slept eight across on the floor.
